A packed lawn at Hudson Gardens welcomed a private performance featuring John Popper of Blues Traveler and the Spin Doctors. Popper—the harmonica-driven voice behind Blues Traveler’s ‘90s breakthrough “Run-Around”—paired naturally with the Spin Doctors’ feel-good, alt-rock energy. Mountain West Production Group (MWPG), a Denver-area full-service production company, handled sound on a mobile stage with a premium Italian-made FBT audio system.
The show served a captive audience approaching 2,000 guests and, by all accounts, went off without a hitch—Steve Franseen at MWPG described the coverage as “really consistent across the venue.” MWPG’s calendar stays busy: in 2024 they produced about 315 events; roughly 80% were live-music shows, and about 80% of those used FBT equipment. MWPG events span across genres—recent events include festival support for Keller Williams and Spafford, a Chris Lane performance and a Denver Pops Orchestra program.
For Hudson Gardens, MWPG flew five FBT MUSE 210 LN line-array cabinets per side with a single LND module on each hang, a setup that delivered clear, even coverage front to back. While this event used the MUSE system, MWPG also maintains a long-running fleet of roughly 50 FBT MITUS 206 cabinets for other deployments—kept in 8–12-box groups to cover multiple shows at once, each kit logging about 40–50 shows per year. Across years of outdoor work, much of which has taken place in 105 degree weather under the glaring sun in high-altitude and desert conditions that are notorious for ruining electronics, they report only a handful of “buzzy woofers” from wear and tear—a great example of why companies like MWPG are so comfortable relying on FBT.
