F1 Grand Prix, Miami FL
From Monaco to Monza and beyond, Formula 1 has built a legacy as the pinnacle of motorsport — a blend of speed, precision, and international spectacle. Each Grand Prix brings together the latest in engineering and performance in a setting where every detail matters, including how the event looks and sounds. That was especially true at the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, where the streets of the Miami International Autodrome hosted a sold-out crowd on Sunday, May 4. With music, commentary, and race-day announcements playing a key role in the fan experience, Miami-based Florida Sound and Lighting relied on FBT CLA 208/604 systems to deliver powerful, reliable audio.
To ensure clear, powerful audio for music and announcements throughout the event, Miami-based production company Florida Sound and Lighting deployed four Italian-made FBT systems each consisting of a Vertus CLA 208SA subwoofer base with a Vertus CLA 604A line array stacked on top. As pictured, the CLA 604A was stacked on a VT-SC 114 604 dummy speaker cabinet which was front-mounted to the CLA 208SA. This served to elevate the line array, which maximized audio dispersion while preserving the classy Italian aesthetic of the system. To further optimize sound diffusion, the systems were strategically placed – two on the mid-level of the Richard Mille paddock and two on the upper level.

The FBT CLA 208/604 system, distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Ideal Sound Importers (ISI), is engineered to deliver high-output performance with controlled dispersion and elegant design — a perfect match for an event as demanding and visually driven as Formula 1.
